Nagpur: Almost two days after chief minister Devendra Fadnavis brokered peace between BJP ’s Nagpur division Graduates’ Constituency candidate Sudhakar Kohale and Anil Sole, who had rebelled after being denied ticket, the two met in a public display of bonhomie to send a message that ‘all is well’.
Because today my guru has blessed me, there won’t be any obstacle in my victory,.
Kohale visited Sole’s residence on Thursday afternoon and addressed him as “guru” in front of the media. In turn, Sole said that he would fully back Kohale’s candidature and rally support in all districts. Kohale said, “Thursday is a holy day, so I came here to take ‘darshan’ of my guru. On what they discussed away from the media’s cameras, Kohale said it was non-political. He has always told me to be successful.”
Kohale arrived at Sole’s residence saying he was there only to seek ‘blessings’. “Sole has taught me many things in the last three decades. He has guided me in the field of education, social work and even political mathematics.
Both sides said their in-person meeting, post Oct 13 patch-up, was delayed due to prior commitments to tours in neighbouring districts.
I can guarantee you that now BJP will win this poll with a huge margin,” said Sole. Gadkari said that BJP is committed to solving the issues being faced by graduate voters. “Backing Kohale in the election is the first step towards that goal,” he said.
“We are now together and the party always comes first. The party is hoping that the cadres will get positive after seeing Sole and Kohale together. On Thursday, Union minister Nitin Gadkari held a review meeting with the campaign committee and later addressed prospective voters at events organised by the party.
