About 62,000 students have registered for admissions this year, while about 18,625 seats across 209 colleges will be offered through the process. Ahmedabad: After a delay of nearly two and a half months, Directorate of Primary Education has announced the admission schedule for colleges offering Primary Teachers Certificate (PTC) courses in Gujarat.
Students can submit their college choices from Sept 24 to 29, according to the schedule. Details of the colleges participating in the admission process will be available from Sept 22. Because a decision on the colleges to be included remained pending, however, the admission process could not begin despite registrations opening in July.
The final list of eligible candidates will subsequently be published, with students able to check the final merit list using their login credentials. The PTC admission process has witnessed increased demand over the past two years amid expectations of large-scale recruitment of primary school teachers in the coming years.
