CID grills former Karnataka Public Service Commission chairperson for over three hours

A senior officer said, “Gyanendra is being grilled in detail about the irregularities, based on primary evidence collected in the case. CID sleuths said they issued a notice to Gyanendra to appear before the investigating officer after taking over the cases registered at Vidhana Soudha police station . Superintendent of police Raghavendra K Hegde and his team questioned the IAS officer for more than nine hours. We cannot exactly say if he will be issued a notice to appear again or be arrested.

On Aug 23, Directorate of Enforcement (ED) sleuths conducted a raid on Gyanendra’s house in Jayamahal Extension. It is alleged that the officer received around Rs 1.1 crore from two candidates who appeared for the examination, whose OMR sheets were tampered with. Bengaluru: Days after allegations surfaced over irregularities in veterinary examination conducted by Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC), IAS officer Gyanendra Kumar Gangwar appeared before Criminal Investigation Department (CID) sleuths Friday.
