Earlier, senior advocate Hashmath Pasha, appearing for Darshan, argued that the trial court had sought a report from the probation officer and the latter said Pradosh is a person of good conduct. Special public prosecutor P Prasanna Kumar, however, said the prosecution did not seek any report from the probation officer. Such a procedure is not contemplated under the law, Pasha added .
