No one was inside the premises when the fire broke out, they said. “However, panic spread among people in the building adjacent the factory, prompting six persons, including women and children, to jump from the building, resulting in injuries,” a senior police officer told news agency PTI. The fire broke out on the ground and first floors of the factory, where judo dresses and boxing gloves were manufactured. Further details on the circumstances leading to the fire and the extent of the damage were being ascertained. Police were also verifying the identities and details of those injured in the incident.
