NEW DELHI: The couple arrested in connection with the alleged murder of 31-year-old Adani Realty executive Yuvraj Singh Manchanda had faced cases before, with police saying the woman had two cheating cases registered against her and her partner had been named in a domestic violence case.

Police are also probing whether Yuvraj’s body was kept inside a car for two days after his alleged murder before it was dumped in a Gurugram drain. Their statements later changed, prompting police to verify the timeline and establish what happened between the alleged murder and the disposal of the body. Vats and Sachdeva subsequently worked as freelancers and became involved in property dealings. Police are probing whether a dispute over clients and real estate transactions contributed to the alleged confrontation and subsequent murder. Police are now investigating the sequence of events leading to his death, including the circumstances in which his body was allegedly kept inside the vehicle and later disposed of.
