The final stretch of the DND–Jaitpur–Faridabad–Palwal–Sohna expressway corridor has been completed, marking a major step towards improved connectivity between Delhi and Haryana.

During trials, travel time from Sarai Kale Khan to Sohna and Palwal was reduced to 40–45 minutes, compared with three hours during peak traffic. Sources indicated that the Prime Minister may inaugurate the corridor later this year, following the completion of the final stretch.

Corridor expected to ease congestion in South Delhi
The new stretch is expected to reduce travel time from DND Flyway to Faridabad to about 20 minutes, compared with the current 30 minutes. Once operational, the corridor is expected to provide faster connectivity between Delhi and key destinations in Haryana, including Faridabad, Sohna and Palwal. The route runs from Sarai Kale Khan through Jaitpur and Meethapur to Faridabad, with onward connectivity to the KMP Expressway and Delhi–Mumbai Expressway network. The DND–Faridabad–Sohna Access Controlled Highway (NH-148A) is 59km long, while the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway stretch between DND Flyway and Jaitpur measures 9km. The 9km DND–Jaitpur section provides a direct connection from Delhi to the expressway network, while adjoining sections connect with Faridabad and the KMP Expressway. The new corridor is expected to ease congestion at Ashram Chowk and Kalindi Kunj, as well as along Mathura Road, while reducing travel time and fuel consumption. The 9km Delhi section is operating on a toll-free trial basis with a 40kmph speed limit, while the 50km Haryana section is operational with standard highway rules and tolling.
