Police said the accused in the two cases were known to the survivors. New Delhi: Two minor girls were allegedly sexually assaulted in separate incidents in outer Delhi, with police arresting the accused in both cases.
Police said she subsequently informed her family about the alleged assault, following which a complaint was lodged and a case registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (Pocso) Act. Police said the survivor has been provided medical assistance and counselling. Police said the incident occurred a few days before the complaint was filed.
During a medical examination, doctors found that the girl was pregnant. The accused, who allegedly worked with the girl’s father and was known to the family, was identified and arrested. In a separate case in Paschim Vihar, a minor girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by her neighbour. Following the complaint, police registered a case and arrested the accused. Further investigation is underway.
In the first case, reported from Ranhola, a 16-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by a colleague of her father.
Police said the alleged assault took place some time ago but came to light recently after the girl complained of pain and was taken to a hospital.
