4-yr-old girl dies after getting trapped in car
The deceased, Tanvi Sri (4), was the elder daughter of village sarpanch Gangavath Naveen. Police said the girl is suspected to have died due to suffocation after being trapped inside the locked car.
The girl was playing around the house in the morning when she got into the car, according to police. They said the family members had expressed no suspicion over the circumstances of her death and no case was registered. The car doors got locked after she entered, leaving her trapped inside.
The incident left the family devastated as the child, who had been playing and speaking to her parents earlier in the morning, was brought home dead a few hours later.
When the family members noticed that the girl was missing, they searched the nearby areas. They could not find her for nearly two hours. They later checked the car and found her lying unconscious between the two front seats. The family members then broke a window of the car and pulled her out before rushing her to the govt hospital in Kothagudem. Doctors examined the girl and declared her brought dead.
