The deceased was identified as Mohammed Mukarram (42), a resident of Roshan Colony in Mylardevpally. “She wanted to travel to Nice Hotel in Vattepally for a fare of Rs 20. Hyderabad: An auto-rickshaw driver died on Sunday evening after he was allegedly assaulted by three assailants following an argument over the fare. Police nabbed two of the accused on Monday. On Sunday evening, Mukarram, along with his wife Naziya and their daughter, Salma Begum, was travelling in his auto-rickshaw from Roshan Colony to Engine Bowli, when an unidentified woman stopped the vehicle, according to police officials. Azeem and Shoaib were picked up from Falaknuma on Monday.
At around 7.15 pm, Mukarram received a call from another auto driver, Sk Sajid, asking him to come to Nice Hotel to speak to the woman’s son. Despite objections from his family, Mukarram returned to Vattepally at around 7.30 pm. As he got down from the auto near SK Medical Store, three persons suddenly approached him and repeatedly punched him in the face.
