Investigators are also examining whether Haribabu’s killing was linked to the murder of his wife, Vaishnavi. Her family alleged that Haribabu strangled her and attacked her with a knife following a heated argument between them the previous night. Based on a complaint by Vaishnavi’s father, police registered a murder case and arrested Haribabu after taking him into custody on the outskirts of Korutla. Police also booked his mother, Lakshmi, and brothers, Anand and Ashok, for alleged dowry harassment.
HYDERABAD: About six months after he was arrested for allegedly killing his pregnant wife, who was also a YouTuber, Chithari Haribabu was hacked to death by a group of unidentified men at Rajarajendra (RR) Centre in Nizamabad on Thursday.
The victim suffered severe injuries and died on the spot.
