Nadanghat: At least 14 people, including a girl, have been injured in attacks by stray horses over the past two days in Nadanghat’s Nichu Chanpahati, in East Burdwan.
All 14 victims were initially taken to the Srirambati Health Centre and given anti-rabies vaccines (ARV). Sources say the attacks have been carried out by three horses apparently abandoned in the area. Following complaints, a team from the state animal resources development department reached the spot and officials managed to capture one horse for observation.
