Download the TOI App. Midnapore : Police in Salboni on Tuesday arrested social media influencer Kartik Mahato for allegedly intercepting the vehicle of Salboni BDO Swarnava Haldar, attempting to conduct an unauthorized search, and threatening the officials.
On Sept 19, around 11.40 pm, the BDO, along with the Panchayat Development Officer and fisheries officer, was traveling to Barasijua for official work when Mahato and three others allegedly blocked their car. Armed with sticks, they tried to force open the doors and windows and demanded to search the vehicle despite the officials identifying themselves.
