Kolkata: A day after summoning Trinamool national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee , Kolkata Police on Sunday served notice on Rajya Sabha member Derek O’Brien to appear for questioning at Shakespeare Sarani police station at noon on Monday. Police officers visited Derek’s Prince Anwar Shah Road residence on Sunday morning after a Saturday evening attempt to deliver the notice failed — security personnel had informed officers the MP was not at home. Officers returned after 9am on Sunday and formally served the notice on a designated representative.
