Left Front functionary Manik Dey claimed that apart from Mandai block, ruling party cadres have been stationed in several district areas since Sept 1. Left Front, which plans to contest all 656 seats across 85 village committees in the district, demanded adequate security deployment. Intimidation was also reported from Old Agartala, Jirania, Belbari and Lefunga blocks.
