Mangaluru: A 14-year-old boy went missing after he was allegedly swept away by strong waves while playing in the sea at Kurikatta, Panambur, on Sunday evening.
After the training, the group travelled from State Bank to Panambur Beach and later went to the Kurikatta seashore around 4.30pm. The missing boy is Shreyas S Kumbara, a resident of Renkeda Guttu in Kasaba village of Belthangady taluk. Around 6pm, while the boys were playing in the sea, Shreyas reportedly slipped into the water and was swept away by the strong waves.
