Hubballi : A man was brutally hacked to death in broad daylight in the Siddeshwar Park area of Vidyanagar on Friday noon, triggering panic among residents and commuters.
Eyewitnesses said two youths intercepted a biker and pushed him onto the road. Passersby witnessed the incident but did not intervene, and the attackers fled immediately afterwards,” they said. However, police sources said the deceased was previously involved in a murder case and was out on bail.

Speaking to reporters, he said the murder occurred around 1pm. Police commissioner N Shashi Kumar visited both the crime scene and the hospital. “We have collected video footage showing two persons attacking a biker. No complaint has been filed by the victim’s relatives. If no one comes forward, we will register a suo motu case. We have formed a special team and will arrest the accused soon,” he added.
