Officials were directed to illuminate major parts of the city and provide drinking water and mobile toilets, with lakhs expected to participate. Kannada activists and those who have contributed significantly to the language and culture will be felicitated. The meeting reviewed arrangements for flag hoisting, ceremonial parade, procession, tableaux and cultural programmes.
