Lakshmamma has reportedly suffered burns over 70% of her body, while Karilingappa sustained around 45% burns. Bengaluru: Six members of a family, including four children, suffered serious burn injuries after a fireball explosion due to the leakage of liquefied petroleum gas from a domestic cylinder at their rented house in Vinayaka Layout, Nayandahalli, in west Bengaluru, in the early hours of Friday.
The condition of Lakshmamma and the four children is said to be critical. The family was living in a house measuring 10×10 square feet, with a hall and small kitchen covered by an asphaltic sheet roof. Lakshmamma went to light the stove carrying one of the twins. Since the gas had leaked overnight, the explosion occurred. Karilingappa and the three other children were still sleeping in the hall.
