Kalaburagi: A 43-member delegation from Karnataka , led by Central University of Karnataka (CUK), is visiting Madhya Pradesh as part of the seventh phase of ‘Yuva Sangam’, an initiative under the Union education ministry’s ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ programme. CUK vice-chancellor Battu Satyanarayana flagged off the delegation on Saturday evening.

Speaking to TOI, Satyanarayana said CUK recently hosted a 51-member delegation from Madhya Pradesh from Sept 28 to Oct 3 under the Yuva Sangam exchange programme. During the visit, the delegation toured Bengaluru, Bidar and Kalaburagi, gaining insights into Karnataka’s cultural heritage, educational institutions, scientific progress and development initiatives. The School of Planning and Architecture (SPA), Bhopal, will host the delegation, comprising 40 students and three faculty members from various districts of Karnataka. The valedictory ceremony and a cultural programme will be held at SPA, Bhopal, on Oct 16, and the delegation will return to Karnataka on Oct 17. The visit aims to promote cultural exchange between Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh, foster mutual understanding among youth and strengthen national unity. During the tour, the delegation will visit Bhopal’s Upper Lake, Madhya Pradesh legislative assembly, Bharat Bhavan, Tribal Museum, Indira Gandhi National Museum of Man and the BHEL facility. Members will also visit the Unesco World Heritage Site of Sanchi Stupa, Bhojeshwar Temple and Bhimbetka rock shelters. The itinerary also includes prominent historical sites such as Rajwada Palace in Indore. A key highlight will be a Gond art workshop led by Padma awardee Durga Bai Vyam. M Shiva, nodal officer for the seventh phase of CUK’s Yuva Sangam, and programme coordinators Krishna Shekhar Sharma and Sanjana Kaushik are accompanying the delegation.
