Marine Drive police registered a case against 14 vehicles for dangerous stunts
MUMBAI: The Marine Drive police have registered an offence against 14 vehicles, mostly cars, in connection with an incident of rash driving and dangerous stunts inside the Mumbai Coastal Road tunnel. Following the incident, the Marine Drive police registered a case under Sections 125 and 281 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) against the drivers and vehicles involved. Legal action is being initiated against all 14 vehicles and their respective drivers.
A group of youths, who were part of the Eid Milad-un-Nabi procession, were allegedly seen speeding and performing stunts on cars while passing through the coastal road tunnel, according to police. The motorists were also found violating various traffic rules, police said. Police are examining video footage of the incident and other available evidence to ascertain the exact sequence of events and identify the individuals involved. Further investigation is underway.
