MUMBAI: A 19-year-old man, Mohd Ehsan Sheikh, allegedly killed his 19-year-old wife, Jannat Ehsan Sheikh, by slitting her throat with a kitchen knife at around 5am on Friday, police said. The accused subsequently slit his own throat with the same weapon, police said. The incident was the result of a domestic dispute, according to police. Both the husband and wife were daily wage labourers. Download the TOI App.
Police said Sheikh died during treatment at Nair Hospital. A case of murder is being registered, while an accidental death report (ADR) is being registered in connection with the husband’s death.
