Activist Vijay Rangare of the Rakshak group, who will be personally visiting the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Municipal Corporation on Wednesday to check the situation on the ground, stated: “Besides the botched-up sterilisations of the local stray dogs, we gathered that hundreds of dogs were also illegally relocated far away in a forest area, where the poor animals can starve to death.
Other animal welfare groups like PETA India and People for Animals are also in touch with the civic body of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, urging them to send legal notices to at least 2 animal NGOs involved in this dog cruelty fiasco, whose videos have now gone viral on social networking sites.
