Assistant police inspector Sagar Bhokare of the Wakad police said, “Bansode was a daily wage worker. “We arrested the trio under section 103 (murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS),” Bhokare said. The accused claimed they had killed him as he had harassed their sister. The police identified the deceased as Maruti Bansode, a resident of Dattanagar in Chinchwad. Wakad police arrested the trio on Sunday in connection with the murder. Late on Saturday night, her brothers took him to an open ground in Wakad and bludgeoned him to death.
