Dance trainer drowns in Chikhaldara

A 35-year-old dance trainer from Amravati drowned at Kalal Kund, a well-known water body in Chikhaldara, on Friday. The incident occurred in the popular hill station, which attracts many visitors for its scenic beauty. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the drowning.

Kore went to Chikhaldara with his friend, according to preliminary information. He drowned after entering deep water, cops said. The deceased has been identified as Vipin Manohar Kore, a dance trainer at Birla Open Minds School, Amravati. During the outing, Kore went for a swim at Kalal Kund. Kore’s friend informed the cops about the incident. Teams of National Disaster Response Force ( NDRF ) from Amravati and Nagpur were pressed into service. At the time of filing the report, the body hadn’t been recovered. Kalal Kund is considered one of the deepest and most risky water bodies in Chikhaldara, making rescue operations extremely challenging. Download the TOI App.
