KALYAN: A 25-year-old construction worker was killed in a hit-and-run accident in Nikinagar, Kalyan West, on Wednesday morning after a speeding car allegedly knocked him down. The car was speeding when it hit Koli, and the driver fled without stopping to help him, according to eyewitnesses. The deceased, identified as Sunil Koli, was thrown off the road by the impact and landed inside a roadside archway near a hoarding. Senior inspector Rajendra Khedekar of Khadakpada police station confirmed that Koli was a construction worker. Police have registered a case against the unidentified driver and launched an investigation.
