Nashik: Hundreds of Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) aspirants gathered outside the Nashik District Collector’s office on Wednesday to stage a demonstration against widespread paper leaks and systemic examination irregularities.
Presenting an 18-point demand charter to the district administration, candidates urged the state govt to establish a time-bound investigation framework, with digital and physical audit trails across setting, printing, transport, and evaluation stages. Protesting candidates, many of whom have spent five to six years preparing in study halls for ten to 12 hours daily, voiced deep frustration over missing final merit lists by tiny fractions of a mark (0.1 to 0.25), only to discover later that question papers had been leaked. The candidates called for an impartial, high-level probe—preferably by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI)—into recurring paper leaks, and demanded the immediate resignations of the MPSC chairperson and secretary, as they held banners and raised slogans.
