Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) officials said Khatri has: The wider industry impact

Nashik : With complaints mounting over dug-up roads and ongoing civic works disrupting Ganeshotsav preparations, civic chief Manisha Khatri on Wednesday directed officials to repair potholes on all major roads, key junctions, marketplaces and immersion procession routes by Sept 13, a day before the festival begins.

Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) officials said Khatri has instructed the public works and drainage departments to ensure roads remain free of potholes, waterlogging and sewage overflows during the festival. Departments have also been asked to work in coordination and monitor festival-related works on a daily basis. To maintain cleanliness, the solid waste management department will conduct daily sanitation drives, clean major markets twice a day, prevent garbage black spots and install nirmalya collection bins at key locations. The civic body will also set up immersion tanks and arrangements for collection of idols after immersion.
