Police registered a case against an unidentified person
Mumbai: Sahar police are investigating the alleged theft of $2,120 (over Rs 2 lakh) from an Air India cabin crew member’s bag, possibly aboard a New York-Mumbai flight or after it landed at Mumbai airport on Sept 21. Police registered a case against an unidentified person on Sept 30 after S Sana (24) found the money missing when she reached her Mira Road home after duty. Police said 22 such cases were filed at Sahar police station and five at airport police station between Jan 1, 2025, and Sept 5 this year. None of the stolen property, which includes Rs 43.2 lakh in cash and gold and diamond ornaments worth Rs 67 lakh, has been recovered.
