Nagpur: Three schoolgirls from Ajni were reportedly coerced into taking a bike ride to Koradi by young men they met on social media. After the ride, the girls were returned near their school. Following this incident, the Ajni police have initiated a case against the alleged perpetrators.
On Sept 16, between 7am and 12.17pm, the three accused allegedly took the girls to Koradi forcefully.
Police said the accused pressured the girls to go on a ride with them, threatening to harm themselves if they refused. Police said the episode left the girls frightened. The complaint, filed by the mother of one of the girls, states that the students from a school near Ajni police station got acquainted with the three accused on a social media platform. his two friends are minors While one accused is an adult. The accused allegedly built familiarity with the girls and then began following them around the school. They also warned the girls not to tell anyone at home. The girls were later brought back and dropped near the school. Ajni police have charged the accused with outraging modesty and also under the POCSO Act .
