We can make Vidarbha drought free with collective effort, proper planning and effective use of available resources,” Gadkari said. The MP said the shared aim should be to take various govt schemes to the last person in society, make farmers and farming prosperous and improve the lives of the common man. “For farmers and the agriculture sector to prosper, all of us should come together on one platform through Agrovision,” he said. Gadkari said water conservation is the need of the hour and that the present crisis should be seen as an opportunity to plan for the future. Conservation, management of available water sources, frugal use of water, and the right choice of crops are especially important in the current scenario,” he said. He asked farmers to plan sowing according to the resources available and assured them of help from the state govt.
