Tiger Shroff was attacked in Mumbai’s Juhu area after his movements were allegedly tracked for ten days.
MUMBAI: The assailants involved in the firing at actor Tiger Shroff’s car in Mumbai’s Juhu area allegedly tracked his movements for around 10 days and followed paparazzi videos documenting celebrities’ public appearances, according to police reports, raising questions about whether publicly available footage helped them study the actor’s routine before the attack. As per an ANI report, the actor suffered burns due to the gunpowder released during the firing but survived the bid on his life. No weapon was recovered from them at the time of detention, PTI reported.
Shroff had played football at a Juhu turf shortly before the incident and briefly interacted with fans, according to officials. Police said the trio planned to travel from Jaipur to Delhi before crossing into Nepal. The forensic team also examined the car Shroff was travelling in at the time of the incident. The suspects were apprehended at Kota railway station following inputs shared by Mumbai Police. Two suspects were identified as Ritik alias Roshan, from Begusarai in Bihar, and Rehan, from Sonipat in Haryana.
The incident took place at around 7pm on Sunday when Tiger Shroff was leaving a football club in Juhu. Three people, including a juvenile, were detained by Kota City Police in Rajasthan while travelling on the Pune-Jaipur Superfast Express on Monday, PTI reported.
As per the ongoing investigation, the assailants knew about his Sunday football routine. On Monday, a forensic team visited actor Tiger Shroff’s residence in Mumbai as part of the ongoing investigation.
