City police arrested two men on Tuesday for allegedly possessing and selling tapentadol tablets.
Police searched the autorickshaw and recovered 100 tapentadol tablets concealed beneath the driver’s seat. Following enquiries, police arrested Vinodh Kumar, 29, of Palanganatham, and Aaron Edison, 28, of Narimedu, on Tuesday. Sellur police registered a case and launched an investigation to trace those involved. When officers attempted to intercept an autorickshaw, its occupants allegedly abandoned the vehicle and fled on noticing the police team. Both were later remanded in judicial custody. Download the TOI App.
