Kochi : A 31-year-old man died after allegedly being doused with petrol and set ablaze by a group of friends at Piravom on Thursday. He had suffered around 70% burns and was undergoing treatment at Kottayam MCH, where he died on Friday. The deceased was Arun Prakash of Kakkad Pothukunnath.

Police said Jishnu of Kakkad, Perumpilly allegedly poured petrol on Arun and set him on fire during an altercation. Jishnu also suffered burns and is undergoing treatment at the same hospital. Download the TOI App.
The police had arrested Salbarin, Dev and Chandanu, who were allegedly with Jishnu, on Thursday.
