In a statement, KYF(M) state chief Cyriac Chazhikadan said those who had reportedly readied a minister’s robe for Kappan should now demand his resignation without delay and declare that govt does not need his support. Kottayam : Kerala Youth Front (M), the youth wing of Kerala Congress (M), demanded the immediate resignation of MLA Mani C Kappan, alleging that he should not be allowed to use legal technicalities to cling onto his post. He claimed that Kappan’s conviction by a Mumbai court marks the first instance in Kerala’s history of an MLA being convicted in a financial fraud case and added that no constituency in Kerala deserves such a representative. He termed it a disgrace that a person, who had allegedly committed such a betrayal, continued to occupy a seat in the assembly.
