The arrested men have been identified as Selvakumar, 33, and Karthi , 25, siblings from Podhiyampatti forest settlement; Agathiyan , 22, from Marakkottai; and Ramasundaram, 22, from Mookanoor. Salem : Four men were arrested by Mettur forest officials for attempting to hunt rabbits with two hunting dogs inside the Konur forest region, on Thursday.
“On questioning, they revealed that they had entered the forest to hunt rabbits,” the FRO said. Mettur forest range officer (FRO) M Sengottaiyan, forester Kannan, and guards Satheesh and Ramkumar noticed the four moving suspiciously with two dogs in the forest, during a routine patrol.
