Seeman open to DMK-AIADMK support in Ambasamudram bypoll

Seeman, who announced his candidature on Thursday, urged voters to give him an opportunity to demonstrate his performance in the assembly.
The vacancy arose after AIADMK legislator Esakki Subaya, who won the 2026 assembly election by 10,245 votes over Congress candidate VP Durai, resigned and joined TVK. TVK’s S Rajagopal finished third with 53,611 votes, while NTK’s V Sivasankaran secured 14,906 votes.
“Political criticism is one thing; ideological positions are another,” he said, referring to his attacks on Stalin and AIADMK head Edappadi K Palaniswami . Seeman maintained that electoral support should not be mistaken for an alliance. He clarified that neither party had decided to field him as a common candidate and accused TVK functionaries of fuelling the speculation.
