24yo man beaten to death over alleged affair in Bulandshahr village
Bulandshahr : A 24-year-old man was allegedly beaten to death over a suspected affair with a married woman in the Chhatari police station area early Tuesday morning.
Police said the incident took place around 4am when Pushpendra Kumar, who was allegedly in a relationship with a woman from the same village, was confronted by her husband and another person. Police said the allegations were being verified. The two allegedly caught hold of Pushpendra, who worked at a private company, and assaulted him, leaving him critically injured. He later died from his injuries. A police team reached the spot after receiving information about the incident. Pushpendra’s father, Udaiveer, subsequently lodged a complaint naming Shivaji, his wife Rinku and three others. Police are questioning local residents and examining other available evidence to ascertain what happened before and during the assault.
SP (Rural) Antriksh Jain said the preliminary investigation indicated that the incident was linked to a dispute over an alleged relationship. An investigation is underway to establish the exact sequence of events and the role of each person named in the complaint,” Jain said. “Prima facie, the incident appears to be linked to a dispute over an alleged relationship. The body has been sent for postmortem.
