Bijnor : Fear of leopard attacks has intensified in Bijnor during the monsoon after a two-year-old boy was allegedly lifted from his house while asleep and killed near his village on Saturday.
Rohit’s body was found around 200 metres from his house in Mussepur Pali village under Nahtaur police station. Around 4.45 am, villager Madan spotted the body near the village boundary and alerted the family. When Rohit’s father, Rajveer , checked the house, he realised that his son was missing. Family members and villagers then searched the nearby fields and informed police and the forest department. The incident came shortly after a seven-year-old boy was killed in a suspected leopard attack in the Najibabad area. The two incidents occurred in different parts of the district. Residents have demanded intensified surveillance, regular patrolling and steps to capture the animals.
Family Grieves Loss of Only Son
Rajveer, a grieving father, expressed that his son Rohit brought immense joy to their family. The family’s sorrow is palpable, with Rohit’s mother, Kamla, and other relatives left inconsolable in the wake of this tragedy.
