Attachment Attachment Attachment Attachment Pilibhit: Three men aged between 19 and 22 years were killed and three others were injured after a car carrying six of them crashed into an electricity transformer near Oel police post in Kheri district on Monday. The accident happened around 2 am when they were travelling from Kheri to Sitapur. Stay updated with the latest Bareilly news.
Half the car was damaged and the engine caught fire, though none of the passengers suffered burn injuries, said police. Dimple Singh, officer in-charge of Oel police station, said, “The car was travelling at high speed and the driver failed to notice a road curve near the transformer. Local police rushed to the scene and shifted all six victims to hospital. Doctors declared two of them dead on arrival, while the third later succumbed. He had probably dozed off. The deceased were identified as Ayush Kumar from Shiv Colony, who drove the car, Akash Verma from Piparia Bypass and Shiva Singh from Rajapur. Piyush Singh, Aman Verma and Utkarsh Kumar, who survived, are residents of Shiv Colony and were shifted to King George’s Medical College Hospital in Lucknow for advanced care. Of them, the condition of Piyush is critical.
