The matter took a serious turn when he received a communication from Ghazipur police station in Lucknow on Apr 18, 2026.
He was told that documents submitted for his DPharma registration were forged. The arrested accused has been identified as Surendra Kumar Singh alias Surendra Rathore, principal of the institute located on Nanpara road in Taibajot. The case came to light after Ravi Pratap, a resident of Pureina Wajid village under Utraula police station in Balrampur, approached Bahraich superintendent of police Vishwajeet Srivastava with a complaint against officials of the institute. Based on the complaint, police registered an FIR at Ramgaon police station and initiated an investigation.
Lucknow: Bahraich police on Wednesday arrested the principal of Nanda Institute of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology in Bahraich in a case involving allegations of collecting lakhs of rupees from students and providing forged academic documents, police said.
