Lucknow: Ambedkarnagar police have registered an FIR against Akbarpur tehsildar Santosh Kumar, an aide and 4-5 unidentified persons on the orders of the chief judicial magistrate (CJM) court in connection with the alleged forcible takeover of a shop in Shahzadpur, police said on Wednesday.
Court Addresses Property Dispute in Akbarpur
In a recent court session, Rizvi testified that he purchased a house in Sijhauli from Ramesh for Rs 14.5 lakh on December 7, 2020, through a registered sale deed. The case was examined by the joint magistrate/SDM Akbarpur, where a report confirmed the presence of the tehsildar during the proceedings. In response to the court’s inquiry, Kumar acknowledged that he had conducted a site inspection related to the matter.
CJM Sandeep Kumar emphasized the seriousness of forcibly breaking a lock and removing belongings from the property in a civil dispute, particularly in the presence of an administrative officer. The court clarified that neither the police nor the administration is authorized to act as a party in such disputes or to forcibly evict an individual from their property.
