Jhansi : A woman from Gwalior on Thursday lodged a complaint against a Train Ticket Examiner (TTE) of raping her by luring her to his house on the pretext of birthday celebration.

A woman has filed a complaint at the Premnagar police station, alleging that she was raped by a man she knew for over ten years. The accused, who resides in Gwalior, picked her up from the Jhansi railway station after her arrival by train on the same day. According to the complaint, he took her to his official residence, where the alleged assault occurred. The accused reportedly threatened her with severe consequences if she disclosed the incident to anyone.
Accused Invites Woman for Birthday Celebration in Jhansi
The accused, stationed in Jhansi and residing in an official quarter, invited a woman to celebrate his birthday on August 12. He informed her that his family members would also be present for the occasion.
SO Premnagar police station Tulsi Ram Pandey said that a case has been lodged against the accused and further investigation is being conducted. The woman finally filed a complaint on Thursday.
