Kanpur: MP Ramesh Awasthi on Saturday held a review meeting with officials of various departments to take stock of city roads, development projects and traffic problems caused by recent rains.
Officials from Municipal Corporation, PWD, Jal Kal, Jal Nigam, NHAI, Metro and KDA attended the meeting at the MP’s service centre. Awasthi reviewed progress department-wise and sought updates on roads, sewerage, drains and works under CM Grid scheme. He directed better coordination among agencies to prevent delays. Concerned over rain-damaged roads, he asked Municipal Corporation and PWD officials to identify stretches needing urgent repairs and undertake patchwork on priority for smooth traffic movement.
