Mayor Ganesh Kesarwani laid the foundation stone for the park on Thursday, marking the beginning of a project aimed at combining dense greenery, recreation and facilities for physical activity.

The park will be developed using the Miyawaki plantation approach, in which trees and shrubs are planted densely in multiple layers to create a compact green cover. The proposed maze-style design, with pathways winding through the plantation, is expected to distinguish the facility from conventional neighbourhood parks. The park will have open lawns, landscaped areas and walking pathways, providing residents with space for morning and evening walks. An open-air gym and a dedicated yoga area will also be developed to encourage regular physical activity. Seating spaces and other visitor amenities are planned to make the park suitable for families, children and senior citizens. For cleanliness, environment-friendly dustbins will be installed across the premises, while streetlights and high-mast lights will provide illumination and improve safety. The main entrance will have an open area, while landscaping and greenery will be used to create an organised recreational environment.
