Agra : SN Medical College has performed its first open-heart surgery, successfully treating a 58-year-old woman who had been suffering from severe breathlessness for nearly two years. She later visited the CTVS outpatient department at the medical college, where investigations revealed a nearly 4-cm atrial septal defect (ASD), a hole in the heart, along with severe leakage in a heart valve and pulmonary hypertension. The CTVS team comprised Dr Sushil Singhal, Dr Vimlesh and Dr Chaitanya. The anaesthesia team included Dr Yogita, Dr Apoorva Mittal, Dr Atiharsh, Dr Deepak and Dr Deepika Choubey.
