Addressing the gathering, principal Dr Sudhir Kumar said patients are constantly being informed about the symptoms of spinal disorders, preventive measures and the importance of seeking timely medical attention. He said the neurosurgery and neurology departments have been upgraded to teaching departments, adding that facilities previously sought by patients in cities such as Lucknow, Delhi and Bhopal are now available at the medical college. The programme was held under the guidance of neurosurgery department head Dr Dinesh Rajput, with medical college principal Dr Sudhir Kumar as the chief guest. He urged the people experiencing spine-related problems to visit the medical college for examination and treatment. He appealed to the people to make use of the medical facilities established by the government.
Jhansi : The neurosurgery department of Maharani Laxmibai Medical College here on Friday organised an awareness programme for patients on the occasion of World Spine Day, highlighting the symptoms, prevention and treatment of spinal disorders.
