Investigation Underway Following Theft at Local Jeweller

A theft complaint has prompted an extensive investigation at the residence of jeweller Kishore Singh. ACP Amit Kumar Pandey, along with officers from the Kotwali and Pheelkhana police stations, conducted a thorough inspection of the property. They were supported by a forensic team, which examined the scene for evidence.

The police questioned Singh and his family members, including his son and daughter, until 2 AM. They are currently reviewing CCTV footage as part of their inquiry into the incident.

He informed his father and called UP 112 at 9.40 pm. CCTV footage from some distance away showed a young man arriving with a bag slung over his shoulder and leaving later. Police are treating him as a suspect. Kishore Singh runs a jewellery shop at Kalyan Bhawan in Chowk Sarafa bazaar. He lives with his wife Sushila, son Abhay and daughter Priyanka on the first and second floors of their two-storey house. An almirah is in a ground-floor room where the family also parks its motorcycle. The silver and cash were missing.

In a complaint submitted on Saturday, the family suspected that someone known to them was involved in the theft. On Friday night, when he went to remove a wooden plank at the threshold to park the motorcycle, he found the almirah and locker open.
