Lucknow: Twelve students of the Uttar Pradesh State Institute of Forensic Science (UPSIFS) have been selected to form ‘Team 12’ to work on international projects focused on emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, robotics, quantum technology and cybersecurity.
The team was chosen after a selection exercise in which 150 UPSIFS students delivered presentations on technology-driven solutions. Team 12 members are Ishani Pandey, Ishani Ojha, Siddhi Vats, Sakshi Gehlot, Pushkar Singh, Ravi Yadav, Vivek Mishra, Prakhar Singh, Divyam Srivastava, Animesh Shukla, Anubhav Chaturvedi and Ravishankar Kushwaha.
Officials said the initiative is designed to help students apply classroom learning to real-world challenges and explore pathways in global research and innovation. UPSIFS founding director GK Goswamy said the programme aligns with chief minister Yogi Adityanath ’s push for technology-enabled forensic education, encouraging innovation and closer links between academic learning and practical application. The institute said the new initiative may also open avenues for research, entrepreneurship and start-up development.
The presentations were evaluated by Pawan Sharma , CEO of US-based Braviti, and Parag Shende, CEO of KIPL. UPSIFS integrates technology, law and forensic science, with focus areas including digital evidence analysis, cybersecurity and scientific crime investigation.
