Mojang has officially kicked off the pre-release phase for Minecraft Java Edition 26.3, the upcoming Wilderness Drop. Alongside a substantial list of bug fixes, Pre-Release 1 also introduces a significant technical overhaul to the Number Provider system. The minecraft:number_provider and minecraft:number_provider_type registries have been split into separate registries for integer calculations and float calculations: Integer: minecraft:context_int_provider and minecraft:context_int_provider_type Float: minecraft:context_float_provider and minecraft:context_float_provider_type A wide range of number provider types have been split into integer and float variants, including minecraft:constant, minecraft:uniform, minecraft:storage, and arithmetic operators which have been renamed – minecraft:sum is now minecraft:add, minecraft:product is now minecraft:mul, minecraft:minimum is now minecraft:min, and minecraft:maximum is now minecraft:max. New integer-specific providers include minecraft:abs, minecraft:sub, minecraft:mod, minecraft:floor_mod, minecraft:div, minecraft:floor_div, minecraft:pow, minecraft:negate, and minecraft:from_float. New float-specific providers include minecraft:ceil, minecraft:cos, minecraft:sin, minecraft:sqrt, minecraft:floor, minecraft:round, minecraft:truncate, minecraft:length, and minecraft:from_int.
